All right. Let’s start off with maybe what happened after the S1 finale.

Suzaku and Lelouch fire and they’re both injured. Lelouch is captured by Britannia, Suzaku is promoted, the Emperor gets Geass fom that place. Lelouch’s memory is tampered with somehow his Geass gets subdued. Karen somehow escapes which explains how she’s still with the Order. Nannally, as we saw in the finale, gets caught by whateverhernameis [will be known as GG’s counterpart from now on]. Nannally is seen separated from Lelouch in the opening. It also seems that Ms. Viletta’s memory was wiped and now works as a teacher?

Fast forward a little bit. To replace Nannally, Lelouch is “given” a younger brother. He’s with Brittania as seen maybe piloting a Knightmare frame for them.  Brittania now tracks Lelouch and possibly uses his “younger brother” as a spy. The guy near the end would be the person in charge of that. They know Lelouch is either Zero [right before he gets Geass’d he says “Don’t tell me” which hints that he knew he was going to be Geass’d], or at the very least, that he’s with the Order. So thus the whole trap to bring out C.C. Then the power of C.C.’s kiss brought out the Geass in him.

Then. Yay :)  The Order comes and saves Zero.
