Hoooooray!

All right all right all right.

So today was actually pretty cool.  It started out slow since there was nooooothing to do.  At about 10, I started talking to SK and we decided to hit the mall so he can get a DS Lite and so I could buy Pokemon when I steal his old DS.  So at about 11:45, we were off with Ryan, his younger brother.  When we got there, we went straight to ebGames.  I found Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney for 20 bucks, so I got that in addition to Pokemon Pearl.  SK got his DS Lite and R. Kelly got a strategy guide for RE4 Wii Edition.

When we were finished there, we went to the pet store so I could get some turtle food for my turrrtles. When I finished there, there was no where else to go so SK took me home. So I got home, fed my little/big turtles and went back on the chompy for a bit. I kept going from the chompy to the TV for a few hours.  I talked to Brittany for a bit when I noticed that she was home early from work. After a little, I went and played some Starfox 64.  I beat my old score of 800 with a score of 900; still nothing compared to Josh’s 1400.  Went back upstairs and watched some TV before going to karate with my cousin.

When we got there we found that people didn’t show up last week and that only Keith [Black belt #2] and Dan [Black belt #1] were gonna be there with Colin [Keith’s son; Blue belt]. Since Dan had a pulled muscle, Keith led the class.  It’s really weird how they were both taught by the same instructor, yet they teach two completely different ways.  Dan, the “traditionalist”, teaches the concept behind everything, the spirit, and chi sometimes. While Keith is more of the boxer that teaches speed, accuracy, and how to spar. Me?  I’m sort of in the middle ground.  Anyway. We did a lot of moving and stuff, so I was pretty tired by the end [9 PM].

After karate, I went straight to Brittany’s softball game. When I got there, the game was at, I believe, 5-4 them.  Courtney, David, and their friends were there as well when I got there. Brittany’s team tied the game at 5-5 before having to switch. Some ridiculous thing happened and one of the other team’s member was kicked out of the game then someone’s mom went screaming at the ump and soon she was kicked out as well; that was funny. Brittany went for the last inning and made first, stole second, then ran to third.  Finally, she got home and won the game~  I like to believe that my friends win their games because I’m there :D  My neighbor Jade broke her soccer team’s losing streak when I went with them and Josh won his soccer game, now Brittany won her softball game :D  After the game, Brittany and a couple of her friends went to play ice cream [what the said…] and invited me, but I had to go so I declined.

Got home, took a nice shower, and had some dinner.  Good deal.  SK is gonna come over tomorrow before work and hand over his DS so I can start with Pooookemon. Then I have work from 3-8:45 working at the Welcome Center x-x  Hopefully Brittany will actually stay for her full shift this time so I can get some Rita’s right afterwards :P

Nerd Post!

Ok only like the second half. So you can stop reading when that happens.

Anyway!

Work has been fun. I mean… I know it’s only my first job but still.  I enjoy it a lot. It’s fun and a great sight to see people able to have fun; even more so if little kids are freakin’ pumped to see Elmo or Super Grover [since he’s usually right at the entrance of the park next to his ride]. Not to mention, it’s me being my friendly self and being thanked for it :) [except when people don’t say thank you… but that’s only like 1% anyway].  I actually find myself smiling after seeing their happy faces.  It’s cheesy I know, but that’s how I live my life; to spread happiness. One person actually said I was very kind.  That made my day :D!

Yesterday after work, SK and I got some Taco Bell. When I got home, Jeremy and his family was there with pictures from Punta Cana [I’m uploading them in various places now]. After I took a shower, I played some Rainbow Six: Vegas with  Jeremy and looked at some of the pictures.  Called Liun at about 11 and didn’t go to sleep until half an hour later.  Today after work, SK and I went to the Borders right next to Oxford Valley Mall. He got The Stand by Stephen King.  I just looked around to see if anything interested me. Nothing.  When I got home I called Liun as promised last night but she had to leave after half an hour, so I fell straight to sleep. Woke up at about 8 and had dinner. Played some Rainbow Six: Raven Shield today. Besides that? Nothing toooo big going on. Woo.

Nerd time:
Why does no Internet browser seem to suit me?  Every single one I’ve tried, I can’t keep. I’ve tried nearly all of the free ones for Mac now; Firefox, Safari, Camino, Shiira, Opera, and even SeaMonkey. None of them was the killer browser for me.
Firefox ate RAM like nothing and the RSS feed system sucked big time [RSS is a main feature I look for now]. Safari has the greatest RSS feed thingy out of all of them, but doesn’t do well in any other feature. Another bad thing that I don’t like about Safari is that there isn’t a bar that can show what the URL is that you’re about to click [the bottom bar when you hover over a link for most browsers]. You can’t even check the properties of the link for that matter.  This is very bad for potential hacking.  Also. No ad blocking :/ Camino doesn’t have any RSS feed jawn or spell checker, but everything else it does, it does well [at least on a Mac :P]. Shiira is too buggy [but very attractive as it’s written completely in cocoa], and Opera uses almost the same amount of RAM as Firefox with a few add-ons plugged in. Opera also has the best download manager with the best support for download resuming.  SeaMonkey simply looks blech for a Mac application.  Anyone familar with Mozilla [the browser] or Netscape’s browser would recognize it. Although the look is very blech, it’s still a suite meaning there are other features than browsing. Included comes an IRC chat cliet, an HTML web editor, and a mail box.
So what do I use now? Camino. Everything is done nicely and it works for me.  Sure, there’s nothing for RSS or spell checker, but whatever. Maybe if they all had one massive baby, it’d be awwwwesome.

Next nerdy thing.
Slowly, but surely, I’m starting to really use the iLife programs on my iMac. Before, I didn’t bother touching iPhoto since I already had Preview and didn’t wanna waste my time with it.  Same with Mail [not an iLife program, but still].  I had Gmail, so why bother?  Then I realized that my Gmail Notifier was using a crap load of RAM for some reason and the notification time was long.  So I decided to ditch that and convert completely to Mail [it’s sort of like Outlook if you don’t know].  Why did I start using iPhoto? Well it took me a long time to realize that the iLife programs do an amazing job at sorting everything out both inside the program and in the folders of my hard drive. I realized this with iTunes, and now for iPhoto. I don’t think I’ll ever use iWeb though, as it looks like it only works best with themes built in and to start from scratch is a bit difficult. iMovie, GarageBand, and iDVD work fabulously for the times I’ve used it [twice haha]. iCal I’ve been using forever except not recently for some reason… I’ll get back on that.

And lastly.
The Tardis is the greatest science fiction vehicle ever.

To reminisce…

Aight aight. So today was good. Quite good, quite good.

So the day started as usual with waking up at about 9. I didn’t really do anything but play games and go on the Internet for a long times. I played some Dynasty Warriors 5, Guitar Hero, Starfox 64, Super Mario World, Rainbow Six.

I also tried to do some Photoshop when I realized that I’m not at alllll inspired. I have to find a muse D: or some inspiration. I also can’t seem to connect a color to happiness or friendliness. If you could comment what color you think connects back, I’d appreciate it :D

Anyway. I didn’t really do much else until about 4 when I started talking to Josh. I suddenly remembered that Josh wanted to come over and play basketball this summer. So I said “hey. wanna play some basketball? or maybe some badminton? Like… today… right now?” And he said sure haha. We invited Dani and Courtney. Brittany was on her plane being taxiied around [I totally didn’t know taxi was a term for airport stuff….] So we didn’t get to play any basketball, but we played some badminton. Courtney totally wasn’t enthused about playing… I mean moving at all but it was still fun being able to play badminton. We came back in to watch Jeopardy! then went back out. When we came back in, Dani and Courtney asked me to play the piano… I did D: I played the parts of Suteki Da Ne that I knew. I messed up a few keys, but I was able to do it under pressure. Good deal. Courtney had to leave soon after so the three of us just talked until 9 when Dani and Josh left. We talked about a lot of stuff, mainly about the past and teachers that we’ve had. Good times.

So I’m here now. Sorta wanting to play some games some more. Sorta wanting to fight someone [haha]. Definitely not wanting to work tomorrow. Or at least on Sunday.

Noah: I prayed to god t hat your plane crashed.
Me: hahaha
Noah: but I guess I cant always get what I want
Me: no
Me: because God hates gays
Me: :D!
Noah: :D!!!

SK: one day we should actually do something fun though….besides taco bell
Me: haha yeah
SK: go out and be ninjas or terrorize little kids >__>
